Benefits of Joining the Grand Commandery of
Knights Templar

- Not unto us Lord, not unto us, but to thy
name give glory.
It is without doubt that individuals joining the Grand Commandery of
Knights Templar do so through a sense of purpose or destiny. It might
be that individuals have already searched through the myriad of
self-styled Templar organisations throughout the world and still did
not find an Order that resonated with their own beliefs, values or
sense of self. The Grand Commandery of Knights Templar offers the same
generic benefits that any other Templar Order should offer. These
being;

Fraternity, Friendship,
Spirituality, Meditation, Charity, & Chivalry.

The encouragement of noble
ideals of Chivalry and promotion of ‘Nobility
through deeds of Charity & Honour’
The Grand Commandery
of Knights Templar does state however the following
which you may not find on other Templar websites or
literature:

We do not claim
to have unproven or unsubstantiated direct lineage
to the medieval Order of Knights Templar or former
Grand Masters. We are a modern Order which draws it's
core principles from
the highest ideals of the medieval Order of
Knights Templar.

We do not offer
Templar secrets or hidden knowledge which can be
found in any esoteric book, library or good book
store and charge our members extortionate amounts
for the privilege. We share knowledge and
understanding, acquired through established sources
and appropriate research methods, with all those
members ready to receive such knowledge completely
free-of-charge.

We do not insist
that you are a practising Christian or church
attendee but lead your life entirely through acts
and deeds that reflect our core principles of
chivalry, honour, integrity, humility, courtesy,
wisdom & charity.

We do not subscribe to ANY political or
religious intolerances. Our modern day battles are
more spiritual in nature and we actively fight
against hatred, intolerance and prejudice within the
world whilst helping our fellow mankind by promoting
peaceful co-existence and acts of humanitarian work
and aid.

We do not state that membership is free and
then charge you ridiculous amounts of money for
administration, badges, certificates or regalia. We
only ask that you pay a nominal allegiance fee and
freely donate to us within your financial means.
Anything we sell to our members will be provided at
cost rate. We believe in honesty, integrity and
transparency in the running of the Order. You will
know at all times who your Grand Master is or who
sits on the elected Council and we also publish our
accounts annually to ensure financial transparency.

Rank and privilege is rightly bestowed through
acts of chivalry, charity and honour and cannot be
purchased from us.

We promise to make the GCKT an active Templar
Order within the real world. That is, once you join,
you will be invited to
meet other Templars, become involved with meetings
and humanitarian events locally and around the
world. The Grand Commandery of Knights Templar is a
real Templar Order, not
a virtual order existing only in cyberspace. We do
promise, however, to use modern technology to
facilitate our need to maintain a cohesive
membership base.
